The UTL Preparation Program is designed for athletes off the streets developing a basic understanding of Deep End Fitness’s methodology of building strength, muscle endurance, speed, CO2 tolerance, VO2 max, and lung capacity in and out of the water. This program is used to build on the UTL fundamentals of being an underwater torpedo athlete: (FREE) Focus, Relaxation, Economy of Motion, and Efficient Breathing during training and gameplay. It is recommended to always train with a partner and implementing the buddy system while training subsurface.
The Deep End Fitness Program was developed incorporating techniques, procedures, and fitness training methodology by a staff with experience from special operations water survival training, multiple fitness certifications, and most important real-life experiences. This has been the underground yet, official training platform for UTL since its inception.
Note: Athletes must be able to fully conduct the screener to play in the Underwater Torpedo League.

SAFETY: All UTL training is to be conducted under the supervision of a lifeguard and/or a fully trained and qualified safety instructor, at a minimum a buddy/guardian is required to any underwater training.
GB: Ground based
Equipment Needed: Kettlebells (KB) or Dumbbells (DB), preferably a good range between 26-53 pounds but the workouts can be done with any weight. Tailor the weight to your fitness level.
